A big round of applause to our enterprising P7's!!
On the 24th of March, the P7's held a coffee morning and bric-a -brac sale to help raise money for their forthcoming Lagganlia trip. They managed to raise £230 from this alone! This was just one event they have organised. They have also arranged the Halloween party, film clubs, coffee mornings at the hall and the Christmas show. When the P7's have done their bag packing in Tesco next month they will have paid for the whole trip themselves! Well done!
Zoolab (07.03.12)
We were really lucky to have Fran from Zoolab (www.zoolabuk.com) come in and show us her mini beasts, some of us were even brave enough to hold the animals. Fran kindly brought in a tarantula, cockroach, crab, snail, Meg the millipede and a snake. You'll find some photos in the eco page under pupil. (On the top line above the yellow and light pink boat)
Titanic
This term's project is all about the Titanic as it will soon be the 100 year anniversary of the great
ship going down. We've been compiling fact files about icebergs, disaster at sea stories and how
it sank. You can see a selection of our work and and our drawings of some of the passengers
by clicking on projects (above the green and light purple boat!)
Abriachan Visit 1.03.12
P1-7 went up to Abriachan forest trust to test the Discover & Explore website package. We had three tests to complete and the first one was to climb up a hill and find different objects and tick it on our sheet and shout BINGO when we found them all.
Our second task was learning how to make a fire in small groups. The materials to make a fire are.... Cotton wool, Vaseline, Wood, Spark key. We all had some marshmallows around the fire and it was yummy! Our 3rd and final task was to do a triathalon but we did not get to as it was too wet. Photos can be seen in the eco page under pupil.
